Some people may experience or witness the same event and may not get PTSD because everyone reacts differently. Many people believe that an event was not severe enough i.e. if they were not in a war but in fact, it's possible to get from a wide range of different traumatic events. Techniques:EFT, EMDR, Hypnosis
EMDR, Hypnosis, Regression, Rewind for PTSD There are many techniques that I use for PTSD. One of the most documented recently isEMDR often the primary method of choice for processing the memories of trauma safely in a non-narrative way. Participants are able to work towards constructing new positive cognitions that are strengthened and reinforced. . I also use a technique from Hypnotherapy called Rewind, that enables a scene to become blurred and faded, no longer appearing to be there in the present as colour and larger than life but a distant and disassociated scene that no longer has the same emotional charge. I tailor sessions using several techniques to enable the client to regain control and develop stability. EFT, EMDR and Hypnosis are all proven techniques that contribute to swift and significant change to the symptoms of PTSD. Nightmares and Night Terrors Particularly disruptive is interrupted sleep due to Nightmares and Night Terrors, often involving flashbacks or re-experiencing parts of the significant event. Using a non-narrative embodied approach, it's possible to work with the nightmares without triggering or re-traumatising the client. It's possible to create powerful shifts that enable the client to move forward. Different outcomes or places of reference become embodied as a resource. Clients experience the shifting of narrative as a release of internal blocks, allowing them to feel a sense of equilibrium returning, allowing them to function and enjoy being in the present again. I invite you to feel free to get in touch to chat about what I can do to help you to make significant change for a better life free of the debilitating symptoms of PTSD.
